FAQ
Questions, answered plainly
The short version: free to start, honest about what is Scripture and what is story, and built for a long walk.
Is Parable free?
Parable is free to start. You can sign up with email, Google, or Apple, or begin as a guest and create an account later if you want your stories kept across devices.
Are the stories actual Scripture?
No, and we are careful about the difference. Journeys are imaginative retellings generated around biblical stories and shaped by your choices. Scripture references inside a story are live links to the real passage, and every completed journey invites you to read the original account in the built-in Bible.
What are companions?
Companions are biblical figures, Ruth, Esther, David, Mary, Peter, Paul, Moses, and Elijah, who travel with you. They carry memory across your stories, post daily reflections in the Scrolls feed, reply to your comments, and write you a personal letter when a journey ends. You can also journey alone.
What story modes are there?
Three. Open ended journeys continue as long as you like before winding toward a close. Closed ended journeys are complete twenty scene arcs. Dream mode is slower and symbolic, unfolding like a vision rather than a plot.
What are reading levels?
Every journey is written at the level you choose: Beginner for simple, gentle language, Growing for moderate complexity, and Mature for rich vocabulary and deeper themes. You can pick a different level for every story.
What is Step Into Scripture?
Parable includes a full Bible reader with translations, search, bookmarks, and narration. From any passage you can tap once to begin an interactive journey that opens inside those very verses.
Which languages does Parable speak?
Both the app and the stories themselves are available in multiple languages. Choose yours in settings and every new journey is written in it. Stories already in progress keep the language they began in.
What are the Daily Parable and streaks?
The Daily Parable is a short daily story to keep a rhythm going, and your streak counts the days you show up. There are no penalties and nothing to lose, it is a habit marker, not a scoreboard.
Where do my finished stories go?
Into your Chronicles: an archive of in-progress, favorite, and completed journeys with reading stats. You can reread, rename, favorite, or export any finished story as text, PDF, or a shareable image.
Is Parable on iPhone?
Yes. Parable is an iOS app and a web app, and your account keeps your journeys in sync between them.
